Mari Greenly, LAc, MSOM
Mari knew she wanted to pursue a career in medicine after receiving her BA in Biology and Anthropology at University of Colorado in 1995.
After accepting a primatology research position overseas and subsequently suffering from severe digestive and immune issues that conventional medicine could not figure out, Mari sought the care of an Acupuncturist and Naturopathic Doctor. That life
challenge was a catalyst for acknowledging that within ancient medical philosophy, a more holistic approach to healing was awaiting. Whether experiencing the magic of acupuncture for knee pain from years of running, or treatment for digestive symptoms, acupuncture had profound and lasting results! Mari was inspired to study Classical Chinese Medicine here in Portland, Oregon, where she received her Master’s of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 2005.
Mari has specialized training in acute and chronic pain, digestive issues, allergies, and sports injuries. Since the beginning, Mari has had a strong passion for treating women’s health, including fertility and pregnancy. In 2019, Mari became a fellow with the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine (ABORM), a certification program that builds on many hours of in depth training and examination to ensure competency in the field of reproductive medicine. Mari also has 17 years of experience in Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture and is additionally offering facial Microneedling in her practice. As a believer in self care and self empowerment in one’s own healing, Mari continues to promote and support group fasting and cleanses, regular acupuncture for stress relief, and Chinese herbal prescriptions for optimizing health.
In her spare time, Mari enjoys traveling with her family, helping her aging mom check things off her bucket list, continuing to be a forever student, and getting outside and on a paddle board for much of the warmer months!

Alison Mckenzie, LAc, MSOM
Alison Mckenzie was certain she was moving to the Pacific Northwest to become a marine biologist, but, shortly after she finished her Bachelors of Science at PSU she waded into the world of Chinese medicine. She came to it knowing she needed to make a big change in her life. Having started smoking cigarettes at an early age, and gone well passed the age she promised herself to give the habit up, she realized something revolutionary was needed. After 5 consecutive days of acupuncture treatment she had given up cigarettes completely and was very impressed by the style of medicine she encountered. She continued to seek treatment and found the list of things she could address in her life with these little, tiny needles was limitless. It became apparent that it could be incorporated with other modalities to achieve even greater health than she could have imagined. No more premenstrual pain, stiff neck from old accidents eliminated, sinus infections and colds did not have to linger. Over the years, she fell in love with the adaptability of the medicine and the respect given to treating the body as a whole. Alison was so fascinated with Chinese medicine that shortly after having her first child, also with the help of acupuncture, she decided to go to school and learn this medicine and be able to share it with others, opening up to a lifetime of learning and connection with patients at the center of her practice. Her favorite thing is to treat patients for their first time with acupuncture, working with the individual and coming up with a solid treatment plan to unblock their path to better health and a more balanced life.
Alison Mckenzie, LAc graduated from Oregon College of Oriental Medicine with an MSOM in 2013 She uses acupuncture, cupping, Chinese herbal formulas, and moxa instruction. Her clinical focus is on women’s and maternal health, pediatrics, sports injuries and injury from auto/bike accidents. She also provides treatments for immunity support and upper respiratory health, sleep disorders/stress, digestive difficulties, skin care and wound healing, and is always up for a new challenge. She spends her spare time experimenting with making herbal salves and tinctures, picking up legos, and getting out to enjoy the beauty of Oregon, especially the coast, with her family and friends.

Rose Olsovsky, LAc, MAcOM
Rose moved to Portland in 2018 to study at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine. While engaged in her studies at OCOM, she participated in the community oriented work-study program on campus which led to her working hands on in the herbal
pharmacy for three years. Following her completion of the four year Master’s program, she remained on staff as a member of the Patient Services Team in the student clinic for two years. With the variety of these experiences related to patient care, Rose learned to tackle treatment from all angles and integrated this education into her approach as a practitioner of Chinese Medicine at present.
As a Licensed Acupuncturist in the state of Oregon and national board certified herbalist, Rose combines the use of acupuncture, prescription of individualized herbal formulas, and several other hands-on modalities such as cupping and massage to
achieve optimal treatment results. Rose emphasizes the importance of combining treatment and lifestyle changes to achieve long term relief and sustained results. Rose aims to help each patient feel empowered to take action in multiple areas of life so they can support their own healing. Her areas of interest in the clinic setting include, but are not limited to – acute and chronic pain, headaches and migraines, digestive, sleep and menstrual irregularities. In her spare time Rose can be found outside camping, hiking, and bird watching or at home during the rainy season throwing together seasonally focused meals and cozying up with her nose in a book. As an avid reader with a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature from Virginia Commonwealth University, Rose’s love of Chinese Medicine is fueled by diving into the historical context and application of the nearly two thousand year old study of the same treatment methods used today.
